On July 14, 2025, passed away suddenly but peacefully, with family by her side, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 79 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Alister, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Shane and Edwina, Marc (deceased) and Justine, and Tracy and Craig.  Loved Nana of Connor, Rhys, and Gwynedd; and Isla; loved "Penny" of Mikaela, and Matthew; Jack, and Kate. Loved daughter of the late Euan and Opal Andersen, 
loved sister of Anthony and Judith, and loved aunty to Heather, Christine, and Robert.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made online at stjohn.org.nz.  A service to celebrate Penny's life will be held at Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Saturday, July 19, at 2.30pm, private cremation thereafter.
