On December 1, 2025, peacefully at Summerset at Avonhead, aged 93 years.   Cherished son of the late Gilbert and Frances, dearly loved brother of Janet, Joyce, Alex, Marj, Dot, Daph, and Bob (all deceased), and the most amazing and caring uncle to all of his 26 nieces and nephews, and their families.  A treasured friend of over 60 years to Joy.  Colin was a dedicated member of the New Zealand Police for over 35 years.  Messages may be addressed to:  The family of the late Colin McMeeking, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545.   In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Christchurch would be appreciated, and can be made online at diabeteschristchurch.co.nz.
